The client:
Winchester Coffee Roasters have two cafes located on the south coast. Alongside the cafes, they also sell cafe equipment and their own range of coffee beans.
What we did:
During our audit of Winchester City Council in combination with Valuation Office data, their cafe at Winnall Close flagged as potentially being due a reduction.
We conducted further research into the cafe, their operation and the business themselves. All our research supported what the audit suggested so we reached out to coffee specialists.
"When we were approached by Holloway Bond, I actually replied with a very sarcastic email. However Marshall got back to me and said that it was a no win no fee, with no upfront fees, so I gave him the go ahead."
Initially they were cautious but after Marshall explained we work on a strictly no win, no fee basis they gave us the go ahead.
Once given the go ahead, we submitted our application to the local authority.
The result:
There was some back and forth conversations with the council as they satisfied themselves of our client's eligibility. Ultimately, they agreed with our application.
"Please don't be sceptical like I was, they are 100% genuine"
This resulted in a refund just shy of £10,000 and reduced rates moving forward.
What our client said:
"We are a small family Business in Winchester, we receive numerous emails about reducing our non domestic rates.
So when we were approached by Holloway Bond, I actually replied with a very sarcastic email. However Marshall got back to me and said that it was a no win no fee, with no upfront fees, so I gave him the go ahead.
He has been a pleasure to work with, no hassle, just a few questions regarding our Premises and current rates.
To my surprise, we received £9850 straight into our bank account after approx 3 month.
They then invoices us for 33.3%, and our annual rates have been reduced significantly gong forward.
So please don't be sceptical like I was, they are 100% genuine
Thank you Marshall and Holloway Bond."
