The client:
RSH Audio offer rental and hire of audio equipment. Initially beginning in 2009 as a way for their DJ equipment to find extra use in otherwise idle periods, their rental inventory has expanded now to the level that they can provide equipment for festivals and other large scale events.
What we did:
Our audit of data provided by the London Borough of Bexley flagged that RSH Audio's property could be overpaying on their business rates. Further analysis confirmed this was the case and that there was a strong argument to dispute their bill.
"Very glad that I followed-up on their sales email to us, as they've saved us a lot of money."
We contacted RSH Audio providing a reference of another client, located nearby, that we had helped. RSH Audio contacted our existing client, who confirmed the work we had done for them and subsequently agreed to meet with us. If we've contacted you and you would like local references to you, or to meet with one of our team, we're always happy to do either!
After meeting with RSH Audio, they were happy for us to proceed. We built a strong argument detailing why we believed their existing bills to be too high and submitted this to the local authority.
The result:
Our application was ultimately accepted, substantially reducing RSH Audio's business rates bills both historically and moving forward. This created a large refund, wiped the remainder of their annual bill and reduced their rates for future years.
What our client had to say:
"Very glad that I followed-up on their sales email to us, as they've saved us a lot of money.
Super easy to deal with, and nice people!"
