What we did:
Following our audit of data provided by London Borough of Southwark, we identified that due to the configuration of the Limited companies within the KALMARs group and the specific occupation of their various properties, there was an opportunity to reduce their business rates liability.
Whilst KALMARs are property experts, our service is a niche area of property, and specific, outsourced knowledge of the hundreds of legislations relevant to business rates can be beneficial, even to the professionals.
Upon instruction, we built a case to submit to the local authority, explaining the configuration of properties occupied by KALMARs and their eligibility for reduced business rates.
The result:
