Jesse Smith & W.J. Castle Butchers

The client:

Jesse Smith & W.J. Castle is a family owned, Cirencester based butchers.

Local to our head office and fellow members of the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce, we are longstanding fans of their products.

What we did:

We completed an audit of data provided by Cotswold Council that indicated that Jesse Smith was eligible for a reduction to their rates on one of their many shops. Following further research we were able to confirm our hypothesis.

We initially approached the butchers at the Cirencester Business Awards, where Jesse Smith won the Medium/Large Organisation of the Year award and Holloway Bond were nominated for Business & Professional Service Provider of the Year, Small Organisation of the Year and our own Ruby Chapman won Employee of the Year. We then later connected via email.

We were instructed shortly after and as we had already completed the necessary checks and research, we were able to swiftly submit an application

The result:

The local authority reviewed our application and agreed with our proposal. This resulted in a refund for Jesse Smith and also reduced their rates moving forward.
