The client:
Jade House, the trading name of Cornwall Chinese Limited, is an independent restaurant based in Perranporth.
What we did:
Following analysis of data provided by Cornwall Council, we identified a potential avenue to reduce the business rates liability of the restaurant.
We completed further research of the company, confirming our hypothesis was correct and that they met the eligibility criteria for business rates relief.
"Good service, thank you Ruby Chapman"
Only once we had down all the background work, we contacted Jade House. Upon instruction we submitted an application to the local authority identifying the legislation we believed our client were eligible for and how they satisfied the criteria.
The result:
Our application was successful. This generated a significant refund and left them with no rates to pay moving forward. All in, it took six weeks from the point we were instructed to when Jade House received their refund.
What our client said:
"Good service, thank you Ruby Chapman who saved me a lot of money."
