The client:
Entyce is a brand-led, creative-first marketing agency aiming to make every business they work with shine.
What we did:
Analysis of data provided by Cheshire West & Chester Council and the Valuation Office flagged that the creative agency could be overpaying on their business rates.
The basis of this hypothesis was that Entyce's office was being valued as two separate assessments and by combining the two, further relief could be unlocked.
We conducted further research into the assessments ensuring all the necessary ingredients as stipulated within legislation had been met to revalue the office.

Once our research confirmed the assessments could be revalued. We analysed the underlying scheme to ascertain what the resultant rateable value would be.
Ruby got in touch with Entyce to outline what we had identified, explain our process and discuss next steps.
The result:
After getting the go ahead, we were able to swiftly submit our application to the Valuation Office as we had conducted most of the analysis required prior to contacting Entyce.
"Really straight forward process"
The Valuation Office agreed with our application and proposed rateable value. The new rateable value meant Entyce now qualified for relief previously inaccessible to them.
We reached out to Cheshire West & Chester Council to get this relief applied.
Once the relief was applied, Entyce were left with a significant refund and reduced rates moving forward.
