Andy Matthews Studio

The client:
Andy Matthews Studio is an architectural design studio with property in the London Borough of Southwark. When we approached them they were moving from one unit to another within the same building.
Even if your business has moved out of a property, you may still be eligible for a refund on your business rates.
What we did:
Our audit of data provided by the London Borough of Southwark concluded that Andy Matthews Studio was overpaying on their business rates at their current property and could be moved to a lower rate.

We consequently contacted Andy Matthews who informed us they were moving to a new unit. As we not only look to reduce liabilities moving forward but also recover overpaid business rates historically, this was not a problem. Even if your business has moved out of a property, you may still be eligible for a refund on your business rates.
"A straightforward process and no hassle."
We submitted our case to the council, proposing that Andy Matthews Studio be moved to the lower rate on not just their historic unit but also their new property. The council ultimately agreed, resulting in a refund for the rates paid on the old unit and reduced liabilities moving forward on the new one.

What our client had to say:
"A straightforward process and no hassle. We were very pleased to have claimed back around £3,500 in business rates we had overpaid! Ruby was excellent and the service was top notch."
